I think the extent to which I have any balance at all, any mental balance, is because of being a farm kid and being raised in those isolated rural areas.

Day 317 of 365 - Cattle Egrets

This morning when I went about my morning chores, I first noticed the cattle egrets by the goat pen - I ran to the house and snatched my camera to get a photo or two. What was so amazing, is that 15 of these lovely birds stayed around the headquarters all day, so I snapped several more photos. I won't post them all, but I am going to post more than one - just because they are such lovely birds. They are also a sign of wetter weather, so we are very excited to see them!!

Interesting - aren't they lovely birds? I just googled them and I see they like water, etc, so hopefully you are in for some rain soon.

I hope the skies open up for you! I will be drying Black-eyed Susans and giant marigolds this weekend and will have those in the mail one day next week.
